About

Costa Rica’s jungles, beaches and cloud forests offer beauty and sustenance to people and other living creatures. Scientists come from all over the world to learn more about the plants and animals found in this small country’s rich ecosystems. Costa Rica promotes itself as an ecologically progressive country, and many of its laws and practices set an example for other countries. In EcoChronicle, student journalists explore the challenges and contradictions of keeping “pura vida” pura.

EcoChronicle is a publication of the University of Arizona School of Journalism as part of the environmental journalism class in Costa Rica, summer 2011 through summer 2014. All contents copyright 2014 University of Arizona School of Journalism.
